It's Pride 2025! June is Pride Month , a time to recognize the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, reflect on the history, and celebrate the courage it takes to live with authenticity and love. It’s also a great time to celebrate our found/chosen families and diverse family structures! Pride is more than a celebration with rainbows and parades (though these are pretty amazing). It’s a reminder that everyone deserves to feel safe, seen, and valued. Pride Month also promotes the strength that comes from standing together. Connected with Pride Month is the Stonewall riots , a response to the police raid on the Stonewall Inn , a gay bar in New York City, in 1969. There are still countries that criminalize sexual minorities , and from the recent death of Jonathan Joss, it’s evident that there’s still work to do to put hate in the past. Whether you’re out, questioning, or figuring things out, I hope you’re surrounded by kindness and understanding every day. Happy Pride! 🌈
